The Sowing Tracker is a complete plant production management system — from scheduling sowing dates linked to customer orders, to managing batches through germination, to AI-powered analysis and recommendations.

The sowing schedule dashboard shows upcoming and overdue sowing dates tied to customer orders:

Each date entry shows: crop, variety, quantity, number of orders, and customer names. Overdue entries display a "X days overdue" badge.

Batch Creation

Create New Batch

When creating a sowing batch, you specify:

Crop & Variety: Select from your catalog
Sowing Date: When seeds will be planted
Number of Trays: How many trays to sow
Tray Type: STANDARD_98, STANDARD_150, STANDARD_200, or CUSTOM (specify cell count)
Location/Unit: Which polyhouse or facility
Linked Orders: Associate customer orders to this batch
Notes: Optional notes for the team

Germination Tracking

Track Germination Rates

Monitor how well your seeds are germinating with two key checkpoints:

7-Day Germination: Early germination rate recorded at 7 days after sowing
10-Day Germination: Final germination rate at 10 days
Rate Calculation: (Germinated cells / Total cells) × 100
Visual Indicators: Color-coded rates (green > 80%, yellow 60-80%, red < 60%)

Low germination rates automatically flag the batch for potential resowing.

Resowing Management

Handle Failed Batches

When a batch has poor germination, the resowing system helps you recover:

Active: Batches currently in production (within expected growth duration)
Archived: Batches older than their expected growth duration or 60+ days — automatically moved to archive

Additional filters available: search, status, tray type, location, date range, crop, and customer.

The AI analysis system provides intelligent insights for your sowing operations:

Batch Summary: AI-generated overview of your current batch status and trends
Recommendations: Suggestions for improving germination rates and production efficiency
Auto-Status Updates: AI can suggest batch status changes based on growth duration and germination data
Risk Alerts: Flags batches at risk of failure based on historical patterns

AI analysis is powered by an LLM backend that stores results in MongoDB for historical tracking.
